Short version: Zone2 has no servers and no accounts, and it collects nothing about you. Your training data stays on your device.

Zone2 is an indoor-cycling Zone 2 training app. It runs entirely on your device and talks directly to your trainer and heart-rate strap over Bluetooth. The developer operates no backend, so there is no server that receives, stores, or analyzes your data.

No accounts, no tracking

Zone2 does not require an account or login. It contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs, and it does not build a profile of you or sell any data.

Data stored on your device

Your rides — heart rate, power, cadence, speed, beat-to-beat (R-R) intervals, timestamps, and any notes — and your settings are stored locally in the app on your device. They are included in your device’s backups (iCloud or Finder) according to your own backup settings. Deleting the app removes this data from the device.

Apple Health

If you grant permission, Zone2 can save your completed rides to Apple Health as workouts (heart rate, cycling power, cycling speed, distance, and active energy). With your permission it also reads a few metrics from Apple Health to personalize your Zone 2 band and seed your profile — your heart-rate history (to find the highest heart rate your devices have recorded), your workouts (to give those readings context, and so a ride Zone2 saved is never written twice), plus your body mass, date of birth, and biological sex. Both reading and writing happen on your device: the data is managed by Apple Health on your device and iCloud under Apple’s terms, and Zone2 never transmits any Health data anywhere else. Each kind of access is optional and granted separately. You can review or revoke this access at any time in the Health app or in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.

Bluetooth

Zone2 uses Bluetooth solely to connect to your smart trainer and heart-rate strap — to read live metrics and to set the trainer’s target power. This communication is local, between your device and your equipment. No Bluetooth data is sent to the developer.

Children

Zone2 is a general fitness app and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change with it. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
